We’re looking for a Commercial Analyst (Streetworks) to join us.
In this role you’ll provide data analysis and insight into commercial performance across the National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED) business with a focus on, but not limited to, Streetworks performance.
You’ll design, automate and implement Commercial and Streetworks KPIs, and deliver analysis to identify trends and support business decisions for both short term and strategic plans.
Reporting into the Commercial Enablement Manager you will also support planning and forecasting activities to ensure the efficient and effective management of supply chain demand and inform future contracting strategies.
We offer a hybrid and flexible working approach, a mix of working in the office min. 2 days per week and the rest home working. Our standard working week is 37 hours, though we can also offer some flexibility in terms of hours / times if required. We can offer flexibility on where the role is based with locations in one of our Electricity Distributions Offices across the Midlands, South West and South Wales.
* Please note you may initially be appointed on a lower salary until all relevant training is complete and you can carry out the role in full.
The successful candidate will have an in depth knowledge of the Streetworks process, compliance and industry standard KPI calculations with an excellent understanding and experience of reporting tools and data presentation. The ability to present complex data sets in an easy-to-understand way along with high concern for accuracy and ability to self-validate is also important. Experience with industry standard performance models, such as quintiles, outlier management and advanced Excel and Power BI experience are key.
Experience of Street Manager and Microsoft Access systems, continuous improvement and the utility industry as well as understanding of regulatory reporting and Streetworks legislation and/or process is desirable, although not essential.

Depending on the role different levels of screening and vetting are required. Some roles require a triannual check.
