Opportunities have arisen for Project Delivery Co-Ordinator based at our Birmingham Depo. Reporting to the Team Manager, you will support the team with project managing small LV (low voltage) projects on the overhead and underground network. Some of these projects could include delivering HV cable lay/civil activities, LV mains, asset replacement, connections or reinforcement.
You will work closely with other Field Operations teams to support the business with work volumes.
You are required to hold a qualification at Level 2 in Electrical Engineering, Project Management or a relevant subject and evidence of your qualifications will be required prior to appointment.
* Depending on experience, you may initially be appointed at a lower salary until all relevant courses and training are complete.
National Grid Electricity Distribution is committed to safeguarding the interests of the Company, colleagues and customers. This role is subject to a satisfactory Barring Service, (DBS) check, depending on the role different levels of screening and vetting are required. Some roles require a triannual check.
Ideally you will have knowledge of what a distribution network operator (DNO) does including a general appreciation of low and high voltage networks. Additional knowledge of National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED) assets and work is beneficial, however consideration will be given to someone with the capability to build this knowledge quickly.
We are looking for a great communicator, who is well organised and has the ability to plan and think ahead. It is vital that you are able to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
The successful candidate should have a good understanding of H & S legislation, ESQCR & Electricity at Work Regulations.
An NRSWA qualification is desirable.
A valid driving licence is essential for this role.
